Sharing Infertility

I know that we have been very open about our struggle with infertility and that's what really helped us cope with it.  I understand the need to be private about it and I know there are those of you who have read our blog who are struggling privately and I totally respect that 100%.  It's a very personal thing and it is very heartbreaking.

As we are gearing up to bring these beautiful babies into the world, I sometimes feel guilty for blogging about it, knowing that there are others out there still struggling.   To those who are still struggling, please don't lose hope.  I can't tell you why you are going through this or when it will end or how to fix it, but I can tell you that you are so very loved by our Heavenly Father.  He knows what you are going through.  Never forget that.

Lastly, I wanted to share this video that was shared with me about being open/private about infertility.  It's about 10mins long, but I really enjoyed it.

I love that video! Thank you so much for sharing it. Do you have the URL for it, or know how I can get it so that I can share it, too? I couldn't figure it out on the player.
And I'm so so so happy for you. Of course jealous, but because I know the incredible pain it takes to go through infertility, it makes me so happy for you. I can't wait to be in your shoes!

That was a great video. I especially appreciated the advice of just saying "I love you but I don't know what to say to support you. How can I support you?" I think that's the hardest thing to figure out with friends that have this struggle is how to be supportive without being the nosy person who is constantly asking for updates, or ignoring it completely. I know we've appreciated you guys being willing to be open with your struggle. It's given us a chance to "mourn with those than mourn and comfort those that stand in need of comfort" and we feel like we have stronger friendship and love you guys even more for having been a part of all this. It's been a blessing in our lives and I just want to say thank you for being willing to share. I'm sure it's scary putting yourself out there like that, but it is very appreciated.
