Edit...

Editing the first paragraph of my last post... I am much better, but Jon has taken a turn for the worse :-( He finally agreed with me that he needed to see a doctor to get antibiotics. Turns out what I had was called "community pneumonia" and it was contagious and I got it from a co-worker and then I gave it to Jon. Misery! Poor guy.

I told him that if he is sick- he can stay in bed at our hotel tomorrow morning (day of the marathon) and he doesn't have to see me off. He didn't like that idea. I just want him to get better, especially because finals start today! His last finals ever!! Wahoo! I am so glad he agreed to go to the doctor to get what he needs to get better.

This experience has taught us that we need to remember to rely on each other and being strong enough to ask for help when we need it (something we're both not very good at). It also taught us to be prepared for the unexpected. We don't have a whole ton of savings, but we have enough for rainy days like these and I am thankful for that. I am also thankful to be reminded to keep saving- even if it's for nothing in particular- just for a rainy day... and sometimes, when it rains... it pours! I am thankful for our Heavenly Father and for all the help and guidance He has given us to get through this really stressful time. He hears us and knows our needs. I am thankful for the Priesthood and the ability to receive blessings when we are in need of comfort and healing. I am so grateful to have this in my home. The gospel has brought so much joy into our lives and it will continue to do so :-)

What a way to start a marathon, ey? You'll do great though...just rely on all the hard work you've put in over the last months. Good luck!
