April?? It's April???

Okay- first off- we are still a little sick. Great. Don't get me wrong- we are doing MUCH better, but we both have coughs that result in green phlegm. Gross. Sorry, too much information? Well, I feel your pain. Looking at it is TMI! :-)

I actually went to the doctor's on April 1st and he told me that I had "walking pneumonia". April fools?? Nope. I had a full blown lung infection. Just what you want to hear when you are running a marathon in 2 weeks. He gave me antibiotics and a syrup to take with codine. He said that if at all possible, I needed to be taking the syrup during the day. So, that's right... I was a zombie for the rest of the weekend! I am doing much better and I was able run this last week and I got my lungs in check and I feel that they will be just fine come the 17th :-) Jon refused to go to the doctor- he says that if he doesn't see blood, he's not going. I guess I always feel the same way, but I have the race as my excuse. Okay, sorry, moving on...

Life has been busy busy busy! We've been starting to pack and get all of our stuff together for the big move. I have 2/3rds of our dishes packed already and most of my pots and pans. Ambitious? No. I'm just so paranoid that I am going to wake up the day of the move and find that all of my boxes were unpacked and I would have to start over. Okay, so that would never happen, but the thought of it is enough to scare me into getting the packing tape out!

My last day at work is this Thursday the 15th. A lot of people have been asking me "why the 15th? That's so random!" Okay, maybe. However, payroll will be easier for my boss that way. I get paid on the 16th and the last day of the pay period is the 15th. This way, he won't have to worry about getting a check to me once we're gone. Also, let's be honest, I don't want to be around that office when they're crazy busy and we have family visiting. I would never be around to see them! Today I started to train my "replacement" aka: my boss's wife and son. The wife is sweet as pie, but she knows nothing about computers and her son is very impatient and couldn't believe all the stuff I did. He got upset so he left and went to his dad and said "She has all these steps! There must be a way to eliminate it!" Trust me... if there was a way, I would have! They are coming back tomorrow for round 2. I am not excited for that.

I am excited for my last day, but a little sad. This job has been such a blessing in our lives. I have really enjoyed my experience there and I was able to learn a lot. I am so thankful that I was able to have a job that was honestly "economy proof".

Jon is finishing up the semester!! Tomorrow is his last day of school- ever! He has a 20 odd page paper due tomorrow at 5pm that he is working on with a group member. Yikes. I do NOT miss group papers that were worth a huge chunk of my final grade! I am so proud of him though. He has worked so hard and I am so excited to celebrate his accomplishments!

I apologize, I know this post is a little rough. I am just trying to get everything in! Other things that have happened. We had our going away party this last Friday night. I made a cake shaped like Texas and cookies in shapes of TX, a boot and longhorns! We had a great time and enjoyed seeing our great friends. We are going to miss you guys!

Just for your enjoyment, here is a picture of us at the St. George Temple last month:
